Thanks Rob, I think it is definitely human nature, that we like to get recognition for any effort we put in. Then again, you should be blogging for yourself, not just to entertain someone else.

Great tips, Bob!

What’s especially frustrating is when you’ve taken the time to write a solid blog post – not just something you tossed together, mind you but a reasonably well-crafted piece that you’ve put your heart into, refined through a coupla rounds of thoughtful editing, and then capped off with a nice, meaningful graphic – and then it gets NO notice. :::insert sound of chirping crickets here:::

Perhaps that’s the nature of the beast and blogging should be reward enough on its own, but sometimes you still secretly crave a little validation. It is for that reason that I try to take the time to leave comments whenever possible. Doesn’t hafta be much – just something so that the author knows that his efforts weren’t in vain, that somebody was moved enough to react – even if negatively.
